Lipstick can be applied directly or—for even greater precision—with a lip brush; liquid lipstick also works well with an applicator. Here are a few tips to help your lipstick last longer: It’s best to outline and fill in your lips with a lip liner first, then apply the lipstick in several thin layers, blotting it in between. Additionally, using a lip scrub before applying lip makeup removes dead skin cells and creates a smoother surface.
