19-69 Female Christ

In 1969, a naked woman carrying a cross walked through the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The performance was titled “Female Christ.” The social revolution and the constant pushing of boundaries in the late 1960s led to new directions in artistic expression. Some artists challenged society’s prevailing values and norms through performance art—an art form that exists only while it is being performed. However, this also means that important voices and parts of art history from this era are in danger of fading away, as they now exist only in the form of photographic or film recordings. The fragrance “Female Christ” ensures that the memory of the performance conceived and staged by artists Lene Adler Petersen and Bjørn Nørgaard at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange will live on forever.
br>The fragrance is earthy and woody and exudes integrity.
