By far the most sought-after and valuable gemstone is the almaz, a gem of legendary brilliance that symbolizes eternal love, strength, and health. Almaz, the Arabic name for diamonds, are known not only for their sublime beauty but also for their timelessness, as they withstand immense pressure for millions of years to form.

Almaz was created by the renowned perfumer Rania Jouaneh, known for her exquisitely powerful and sensual fragrance creations. Almaz opens with a seductive fruity combination of bergamot and blackcurrant, a delicious blend of fresh sweetness with a spicy note. The heart notes consist of an elegant blend of raspberry, floral notes, and heliotrope, leading to a warm and seductive floral embrace. In the base notes, we find a delicious fusion of musk, woody notes, vanilla, amber, and brown sugar—a gentle yet sensual composition consisting of a rich and pure earthy softness. Omar Ayoub, designer and architect of the bottle and packaging for Almaz, explains: “The guiding concept behind the design was: ‘Beautiful and precious diamonds are created by time and pressure. I was inspired by the incredible beauty of diamonds, by the way each cut is chosen to emphasize the diamond’s clarity and its interplay with light. I was also inspired by the astonishing amount of time it takes for a diamond to form deep within the earth before it is mined.”
Omar created a truly spectacular design, incorporating a beautiful poem by Elen Jeres Ayoub rendered in magnificent Eastern Kufi calligraphy. Omar said: “The words were carefully placed so that the vertical lines form eight zones on the bottle, representing the phases of the moon in each lunar calendar month and thus symbolizing the passage of time.”
