In the evening, before applying your moisturizer, apply 3–4 drops to your cleansed face. The next morning, apply a cream with an SPF of at least 20. During the first week, apply it 2 nights a week. During the second week, apply it every other night. In the third week, apply it every night if your skin tolerates it. It is normal to experience redness, tightness, or dryness initially when using retinol. If this happens, stop using it for a few days and then apply it less frequently.
